Rockstar Capital Finishes Up Rehab on Three Properties
Rockstar Capital has finished up its #RockstarRehab process on three more properties within our portfolio. Westport, Newport Oaks and Meadow Park have all had new amenities added and old amenities refurbished to turn them into properties that fit the 2019 standard. Along with the completion of these rehabs, the Rockstar team has put together videos to highlight the changes within each property.
Westport Apartments was one of the first apartments communities purchased by Rockstar Capital outside of Houston and our home base in Humble. Located in Brazoria County, Westport features one, two and three-bedroom apartments with cozy interiors and time-tested design touches. This property had a rehab budget of $500,000 that enabled us to bring this 1997 property into 2019. Improvements to the property include a new sign, renovated club room, and an updated business center to name a few. 3-D Tours of apartment units are now available for viewing onsite and a new dog park is available for our furry residents to enjoy. The next property that finished up its #RockstarRehab process was Newport Oaks. The 3rd property purchased by Rockstar Capital in Brazoria County, more specifically Alvin. Built in 1982, this 168-unit property was given a $850,000 budget to transform it into the beautiful property it is today. A new sign was added to the front of the property to let passersby and residents alike know that this property was under a new management company and that bigger and better things are coming. Other additions include a new fountain visible from visitor parking lot and leasing office, an updated leasing office with VLC addition, new BBQ pavilion, and a pool update. Last and most definitely not least is the #RockstarRehab at Meadow Park Apartments. The first Alvin property to join the Rockstar Capital portfolio, this 1984 property was given a budget of $900,000 for its rehab. Located next to Alvin Community College, Meadow Park came with amazing curb appeal that Rockstar wished to capitalize on with our updates and additions. With the addition of a fountain, repaint of the leasing office, and rework of landscaping, Rockstar has been able to take this property to the next level. All of our hard work on this property is reflected in our consistent 95% occupancy rate. Utilization of green space to add a volleyball court, BBQ pavilion and basketball court have all assisted in us maintaining current residents and appealing to potential renters.
